Project Meeting July 4 2008

We met at the Institute of Public Administration of Australia’s (IPAA) offices in Bligh Street Sydney. As a major Project Partner IPAA have been extremely generous in their support of the Aboriginal Mentoring Project by providing facilities, equipment and administration and project management staff to our team. Anne Rauch, IPAA’s Learning and Development Manager said recently “This is an important Project and IPAA NSW is keen to have the Aboriginal Mentoring Program available to NSW Public Sector staff.”

This was the first time the Project Team has met face to face.

Visitors at the meeting included Rhonda Appo E-Learning Coordinator Queensland E-Learning Innovations Information Technology and Product Services, Robyn Jay NSW Innovations Coordinator Australian Flexible Learning Framework International Centre for VET with a guest appearance from Rose Grozdanic National eLearning Innovations Coordinator, Australian Flexible Learning Framework.

Jeff Hunter Student Counsellor Student Services TafeSA Regional who was the Project Manager for Interactive Ochre a National Toolbox which the Project team are using, delivered an online presentation.

Rhonda gave a terrific presentation and inspired team members to recognise the importance of relationships within mentoring programs, she spoke about Indigenous engagement in eLearning and the lessons learned through previous eLearning projects. Here is her presentation
