About the Artwork

The artwork included in the AMP websites and resources was created by Teresa Leon.

She describes the artwork as follows:

The Aboriginal Mentoring Program sees many individuals from all over Australia coming from many government departments in NSW. This design represents my sisters and brothers from saltwater coastal country (blue), through to the rural inland desert areas (red) and everything in between. All travelling a similar broad path of empowerment and mentorship.

About the Artist

Teresa has been a graphic designer for 16 years, and is currently employed at the University of QLD.  She also successfully undertakes freelance projects, with priority given to, but not limited to, Indigenous clients. She possess fine art qualifications and experience with a BA (Visual Arts).

Teresa’s family belong to Worimi/Biripi country in the Great Lakes region of coastal New South Wales, Australia.
